Fosamax and other bisphosphonates: Did they cause your atypical fracture?

The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday on the latest links between bisphosphonates (such as Fosamax) and atypical bone fractures.

This is yet another example of dangerous risks appearing long after the FDA approved a prescription.  Do you think pharmaceutical companies need to be more accountable when studies come to these types of conclusions?

Tell us what you think.

I have taken Evista/rolaxifine for 10 years for borderline breast cancer which changed the texture of my breasts and stopped anymore lumps. At the end of 10 years we did find that I had osteoporosis. Also, during that time I had a lot of pain in my bones which I attributed to chronic malaria. However, I was recently taken off of Evista and put on fosomax and began to have hives and a foot and sacram fracture. So I have stopped. The controversy has me very confused, and I would just like to find the truth in it and a safe bone medicine into the future?
